Dicky Trisco is a wonderful ambassador for the Scottish dance music scene. He’s known across the world not just for his love of his craft, but for his love of people – he is particularly addicted to the way music connects people and makes for better days.
After initial experiments in the Deep House scene of the late ’90s, Dicky really broke through in the Disco Revival years, most notably with a run of releases alongside his production partner and fellow DJ Pete Herbert on Disco Deviance and Maxi Discs.
Since then, Dicky has toured the world many times and become a regular at a long list of high profile festivals including the legendary Glastonbury, Electric Elephant, Mareh, Love International, Festival No 6 and many more.
But it’s not always been about Disco. Dicky also ran and curated the well-respected Home Taping Is Killing Music imprint, which broke a number of great House artists who have gone on to become household names in the scene including The Black Madonna, The Revenge, Nicholas, Borrowed Identity, Eddie C & Medlar amongst others.
Dicky continues to discover, produce and remix music for a number of quality imprints including Home Taping, Razor-N-Tape, File Under Disco, Barefoot Beats and many more. He has also remixed major artists such as Bryan Ferry, Belle & Sebastian, Edwyn Collins, Danielle Baldelli, Faze Action and Tensnake.
As a disc jockey, DT packs a little bit of everything into his sets and is committed to the idea that music should be all about pure escapism and the joy of dancing.
